New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has successfully commissioned a 5 megawatt floating solar power plant at its Bhilai Steel Plant, marking a major milestone in the company’s renewable energy journey.

The newly commissioned facility is aimed at strengthening SAIL’s clean energy portfolio while significantly reducing the carbon footprint of its steel manufacturing operations. The floating solar installation utilizes available water bodies within the plant premises, optimizing land usage and enhancing energy efficiency.
