Vendor development program for Women,SC / ST and General Category MSME vendors
The meeting was a combination of both offline and online interactive sessions. All the social distancing norms were adhered to during the entire conduct of the session.

Durgapur: A Vendor Development program in line with the government policies for developing a supportive ecosystem for Women, SC/ST, and General Category entrepreneurs was held at DSP on 26.11.2021. The session was graced with the keynote address and inauguration by Sri AV Kamlakar, CEO, ISP with addl. charge of CEO, DSP & ASP in virtual mode. Shri BP Singh, ED(Works) addressed the gathering in virtual mode.
The welcome address was delivered by Shri V Dhawan, CGM I/c (MM & Mktg.), while the session was guided by Sri SK Singh, CGM (Mech), and Sri T Vinod, CGM (MM). It was also attended by senior officials from Govt. of West Bengal officials, DIC and CMERI, Durgapur including Women Vendors, SC/ST Vendors & General Vendors. The meeting was a combination of both offline and online interactive sessions. All the social distancing norms were adhered to during the entire conduct of the session.
The session saw active participation of Women, SC/ST & General category Entrepreneurs. It started with the deliberation upon the various benefits linked with the Development of items under Atma Nirbhar Bharat, GeM Registration, and Encouragement of Women and SC/ST entrepreneurs.
In the meeting, all were of a positive opinion about India witnessing rapid growth and prosperity and as such all sections of the society need to participate in the prosperity. Besides wage employment and education, all sections of the society need to envision, create and scale-up ventures to be major participants in this growth story. There has been an increase in the number of Women and SC/ST-owned enterprises in the past but these need to be scaled up substantially to enable the socio-economic empowerment of the Women and SC/ST communities.
The Vendor Development session was followed by the Question & Answer round where the various queries, issues and concerns of the representatives of MSMEs were addressed by DSP officials. By the end of the session all the queries were resolved to the satisfaction of the MSME Entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurs were also confirmed for working together for overall development for a win-win situation.
At the end of the session all the participants were felicitated by Sri V Dhawan, CGM I/c (MM & Mktg.). The session concluded with a vote of thanks.
