The extension ensures continued oversight at HSL, which is a key defence public sector undertaking (DPSU) involved in shipbuilding and submarine construction. Shri Ranjan, an officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), will have dual responsibilities. This reflects the government’s trust in his leadership and knowledge.
Such continuity is essential for HSL due to its important role in supporting naval modernization and indigenization efforts under the Ministry of Defence.
