Wasteland Development - NTPC CSR Success Story

New Delhi: NTPC's narrative of storytelling has made in-roads as an official selection for the 7th annual edition of Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF) in the Indian Film category. Successful Wasteland Development through Natural Resources taken up in village Kannala at Peddapalli District of Telangana by NTPC, turning barren land into fertile agricultural land bringing prosperity to the region,transforming lives of farmer community. The Village is 11 km away from NTPC Ramagundam.

 

The 7th annual edition of Woodpecker International Film Festival will be organised from November 29 - December 1, 2019 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.

 

Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF) is India’s one of the most respected film festivals focusing on documentaries and short films. The festival has also been globally acclaimed for its focus on promoting issue-based cinema. Launched in 2013, in the backdrop of completion of 100-years of Indian cinema, the festival has organized five international editions till now.
