New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) had recently launched a mobile app which is designed to bring all railway services under a single digital roof. The app is named as “SwaRail”.

The app is developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), and is currently available for testing (version v127) on Android users via the Google Play Store and is not presently available in the Apple App Store.

This app is being promoted as a "SuperApp" and not before time and it includes several benefits like for passenger from reservation of tickets and information about trains to eating, tourism packages, and live tracking together in one integrated interface.

Following are steps to access the hassle-free use of SwaRail App:

One can log in using their IRCTC credentials or create a new account through its Single Sign-On (SSO) feature.

The app consists of modern dashboard that allows for checking one’s PNR status and ordering a meal to browsing station and tourist services, all without needing to switch tabs or log in repeatedly.

Further, one can use live train tracking, for timing updates and other details. It provides real-time information about train status, delays, and platform numbers, to avoid uncertainity.

The app is currently available for Android phones only. And meanwhile, iPhone users will have to wait until they release the iOS version.

Also, users might can experience the technical glitch since it is in open beta mode.
