Ministry of Railways cancels pending Group C selections due to irregularities; plans to revise departmental selection framework for LDCES and GDCES.
New Delhi: Due to several irregularities in departmental selection, the Ministry of Railways has cancelled the pending Group C selections. The ministry decided to revisit the departmental selection framework and all pending selections including LDCES, and GDCES in Group 'C' which are not finalised and approved by March 4th, 2025. Till then they will be considered cancelled, the ministry announced.
It is said that "No further selections may be initiated until further orders. Further instructions to regulate the selections will be issued in due course."
This step has been in focus after the CBI arrested 26 railways officials of Eastern Central Railways in UP's Mughal Sarai for leaking the departmental exams.
