New Vande Bharat Express train to soon operate from Ferozepur Cantonment in Punjab to Delhi
The minister announced that the government has approved the new rail line, Rajpura–Mohali, with a value of Rs 443 crore. He said that the direct connection between Rajpura and Mohali will reduce the travel distance by 66 kilometers.
The Railway Ministry has proposed a new Vande Bharat Express train from Ferozepur Cantonment in Punjab to Delhi. While addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has mentioned that currently, five pairs of Vande Bharat trains are running in Punjab, covering seven districts of the state. Over the last 11 years, he highlighted that the railway budget for Punjab has been increased 24 times.
