NHAI Creates History with Four Guinness World Records on Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Corridor
NEW DELHI: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has achieved a historic milestone by setting four Guinness World Records for continuous Bituminous Concrete paving on Package-2 and Package-3 of the six-lane Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, congratulated Team NHAI and the project concessionaire Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd. for this exceptional engineering feat. He stated that the achievement highlights India’s growing strength in advanced construction technology, superior quality standards, and large-scale project execution.
The record-setting accomplishment was made possible through the use of modern paving techniques, continuous operations, and strict adherence to quality benchmarks. The Minister emphasized that such global recognitions reinforce India’s ambition to develop world-class highways and establish new international standards in infrastructure development.
He further noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s highway sector is witnessing rapid transformation, with a strong focus on speed, durability, safety, and innovation. The achievement reflects the government’s commitment to building infrastructure that supports economic growth and global competitiveness.
