Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Awards ₹1,800 Crore Electric Bus Order to Olectra Greentech

New Delhi, February 23, 2026: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has placed a major order for 1,085 electric buses with Olectra Greentech Limited through Evey Trans Private Limited (EVEY). The order includes 1,025 non-AC 12-meter buses and 60 AC 12-meter buses, intended for intra-city operations across Telangana.

The buses will be delivered over 20 months under a Gross Cost Contract (GCC) / OPEX model for a 12-year contract, with Olectra also managing maintenance throughout this period. The total contract value is approximately ₹1,800 crore.

This initiative is part of TSRTC’s strategy to expand sustainable and clean energy public transport, reduce carbon emissions, and modernize urban mobility across Telangana.

The deal is structured as a related-party transaction between Olectra and EVEY, executed on an arm’s length basis, ensuring transparency and compliance.

This order solidifies Olectra Greentech’s position in India’s electric mobility sector while highlighting TSRTC’s commitment to eco-friendly, modern public transport solutions for the people of Telangana.
