NCL Achives Annual Target Before 12 Days
Singrouli: Northern Coalfields Limited has clocked 93.18 million tonnes of coal despatch on March 19, 2018; thereby achieving the fiscal coal offtake target of 93 million tonnes 12 days ahead of the completion of fiscal.
The achievement becomes all the more important in the backdrop of the fact that this is the highest ever coal despatched by the company in a financial year since its inception.
Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NCL, Shri.P.K.Sinha congratulated Team NCL and expressed hopes that NCL will soon enter the elite 100 million tonne bracket of coal despatch.
The company has despatched 93.78 million tonnes of coal up to March 21, 2018 which is 16 percent more than the despatch figures of the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
Notably, the assigned coal off-take target of NCL was 91 million tonne for the fiscal 2017-18 which was later revised to 93 million tonnes. The development came in the backdrop of the continuous uptrend in coal despatched by the company over a sustained period of time.
Likewise, the company is also registering splendid performance on coal production front. Up to March 21, 2018, the company has produced 90 million tonnes of coal which is in excess of 11 percent of the 81 million tonne produced by the company in matching period of the last fiscal. NCL has been assigned coal production target of 93 million for the fiscal 2017-18.
