SECL Sweep Bike Rally: 500 ride for voter awareness in Bilaspur

As part of the ongoing voter awareness campaign in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a grand SVEEP bike rally was organized on 25 April 2024 in which more than 500 bikers from Bilaspur participated and gave the message of voter awareness.

The bike rally sponsored by SECL started from SECL Headquarters where SECL CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, District Collector and Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Avnish Sharan (I.A.S.), SP Mr. Rajnesh Singh (I.P.S.), Shri Amit Kumar, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Shri Satyadev Sharma, DFO, Shri RP Chauhan, CEO District Panchayat, SECL Functional Directors flagged off the bikers.

CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra administered the SVEEP pledge and said that voting is both the right and duty of all of us. As conscious citizens, we all should play our role in strengthening the world's largest democracy by exercising our franchise in elections.

Bilaspur District Collector and Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Avnish Sharan (IAS) said that such an event will play a big role in spreading the message of 100 percent voting to the people in Bilaspur and it will definitely help in increasing the voting percentage of Bilaspur district. Praising the various efforts made by SECL for voter awareness, he said that SECL has played an important role in making this voter awareness campaign successful through various hoardings, social media, and today this bike rally event.

District Collector, SP along with other officials rode bikes and led the rally which started from SECL Headquarters, passed through Vasant Vihar Chowk, Urja Park, Chhath Ghat, Torwa Chowk, Jagmal Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Gol Bazaar, Nehru Chowk and ended at the Police Ground. Before leaving the rally, the chief guests and special guests of the program released balloons and gave the message of voter awareness.
