New Delhi, February 28, 2026: Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, inaugurated a modern 700‑seater auditorium complex at Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU) in Jhansi today. Built at a cost of ₹41.22 crore by NBCC (India) Limited, the facility is designed to enhance the university’s academic and cultural infrastructure.

The new auditorium is equipped with modern seating, state-of-the-art acoustics, and advanced lighting systems, making it ideal for seminars, conferences, cultural events, and large gatherings. University officials noted that this facility will serve as a hub for both educational and extracurricular activities, helping students and faculty engage in collaborative learning and professional development.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Chouhan highlighted the importance of upgrading educational infrastructure in agricultural universities to promote innovation, research, and community engagement. He emphasized that investments in modern facilities are vital for developing future agricultural leaders who can contribute to India’s growing food and farming sector.

The auditorium project, executed by NBCC, reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening central agricultural universities, especially in the Bundelkhand region.
