BHEL gets Rs 3,500-cr order in Gujarat
NEW DELHI, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), has bagged a Rs 3,536-crore project in Gujarat. It will be an EPCproject to set up a supercritical thermal power unit for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd . This is the country’s first ever EPC contract for an 800 MW rating supercritical power project. The order is for a 1x800 MW coal-fired supercritical thermal unit at Wanakbori, in Gujarat’s Kheda district. With this project, BHEL has won orders for installation of 33 supercritical boilers and 28 turbines.
