CMD IREDA Honoured Institute of Directors Distinguished Fellowship
New Delhi: Shri K. S. Popli, Chairman & Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) conferred with the Institute of Directors (IOD) Distinguished Fellowship for the year 2018. Shri Popli received the fellowship from Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament and Justice Dr. Arijit Pasayat, Retired Judge, Supreme Court of India at IOD's ‘20th World Congress on Environment Management & Climate Change’ on 6th July, 2018 in New Delhi.
Shri Popli was recognized for his outstanding contribution towards business and society. He has rich experience of working over 35 years in Indian Power Sector. He has served with National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) and Power Finance Corporation (PFC), prior to joining IREDA in 2007. Shri Popli is also on the management board of several organizations of national importance and also the official member of various high-level committees set up by the Government of India in the field of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency. He is also Country Representative for International Solar Alliance – Affordable Finance at Scale. His contribution to the organization, profession and society at large has been recognized by various National & International agencies through conferring various coveted awards.
