IndianOil Family Pledges for a Swachh Bharat at India Gate
New Delhi: IndianOil's Refineries Headquarters gave a fillip to the ongoing national campaign of 'Swacchta hi Sewa' on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, when hundreds of IOCians came together early in the morning at the iconic India Gate and pledged their utmost support in creating a 'Clean India', befitting Gandiji's dreams. Mr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director (HR), IndianOil, led the IndianOilPeople and other city residents in the celebrations, by administering and digitally signing the Swachhta Pledge. He later flagged-off 10 'Swachhta awareness vans that would reach out to a number of localities across the city to motivate the people for adopting clean and hygienic living and make the national movement a success.
In his address, Mr. Mohapatra appreciated the initiative of Team Refineries Headquarters and each IOCian who joined in the national cause for the dedication and energy. The unity of purpose was for all to see when the gathering of IOCians and the city residents joined hands together, to form a human chain and raise a clarion call for a cleaner, greener India, against the scenic backdrop of the India Gate. A humorous nukkad natak depicting the advantages of adopting hygienic living habits and clean surroundings was also greatly appreciated.
