MCL celebrates 42nd Coal India Day

Sambalpur: A Run for Excellence-cum-Vigilance Awareness March yesterday marked the beginning of 42nd Coal India Foundation Day celebrations at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), the largest coal supplying company of the country.
 
All Executives, staff and their family members joined the run which was flagged off by Mr J P Singh, Director (Technical/Operations) from Anand Vihar grounds while first lady of MCL and president Jagriti Mahila Mandal Ms (Dr) Nisha Thakur flagged off women participants in the run from Jagriti Vihar main gate.
 
The run culminated at MCL HQs premises where Mr Singh hoisted the Coal India Flag. Former Directors of the company Mr S P Singh, Mr B M Nag, Mr G D Gulab, Mr P C Panigrahi and Mr A K  Tiwari were esteemed guests on the occasion, who also joined Mr J P Singh, Mr K K Parida, Director (Finance), Mr L N Mishra, Director (Personnel), Mr Munawar Khursheed, IRPF, Chief Vigilance Officer and Mr O P Singh, Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) for a cutting ceremony.agriti Mahila Mandal president Ms (Dr) Nisha Thakur, vice-presidents Ms Paramjit Kaur, Ms yotirmayee Parida, Ms Madhoo Mishra, Ms Naushina Afrin Ali and Ms Padamja Singh gave away prizes to the winners in different categories.
 
On this occasion, Mr J P Singh also administered the ‘Integrity Pledge for Citizens’ to people as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2016. Mr Tapan Mishra, Faculty, Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru, delivered a lecture on  Philosophy of Life & Ethics as a part of 10th JG Kumarmangalam Memorial Lecture,.
