NALCO to beautify Bhubaneswar as floral hub
Bhubaneswar. Apart from planting 6.8 crore saplings around its plants and sites, Nalco has been undertaking various beautification projects throughout Odisha.
“Since we are headquartered at Bhubaneswar, we would like to promote the capital city as the next floral hub, similar to Bangalore, and tag it as a green city,” said Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, Nalco.
Addressing the State-level Annual Flower Show, at the Regional
Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), Chand informed that Nalco has undertaken avenue plantation at a project cost of Rs. 2.52 crore, between the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, with the help of Odisha Forest Development Corporation. Besides, in our Corporate Office and township, we have already taken up steps to harness unconventional energy sources.
