PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON ENERGY VISITS DVC POWER PLANT
Kolkata: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy, headed by Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament visited Durgapur Steel Thermal Power Station (DSTPS) of DVC on 22nd April, 2017. Shri Andrew W.K. Langstieh, IA&AS, Chairman, Shri P.K.Mukhopadhyay, Member-Secretary, Shri R.P.Tripathi, Member (Technical) and other high officials of DVC accompanied the Parliamentary Committee. After visit of the 500 x 2 MW Power Plant, the Committee held meeting with Damodar Valley Corporation, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. & NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited separately on “Role of PSUs in ensuring 24 x 7 Power Supply” at Durgapur.
