World Environment Day celebration NTPC Talcher Kaniha
Kaniha: The World Environment Day was celebrated at NTPC Talcher Super Thermal Power Station, Kaniha on 05.06.2015. Environmental Pledges in Hindi, English and Odia were administered by Sh. N. K. Kothari, Executive Director. Sh. S. Ghosh,GM (Opn) conveyed the message of Director (Operation) on this occasion.
Led by Sh. N. K. Kothari (ED), “Environmental Awareness Walk” was organised to create and spread awareness about conservation of nature. Mass Tree Plantation were organized on this occasion where in 350 Nos of trees were planted.
The station has planned in the FY 2016 ,to undertake 35,000 plantations during Van Mahotsav and ensuing monsoon and raise 20,000 sapling in NTPC Nursery for free distribution in and around the station.
