BHEL signs MoU for setting up Renewable Energy Projects in Yemen
New Delhi. In a step towards further consolidation of its position as the flagship Indian power equipment company in the overseas market, Maharatna Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Republic of Yemen for setting up Solar Photovoltaic (PV) based power plants at different locations in Yemen.The MoU was signed in a ceremony in New Delhi by B. Prasada Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, BHEL and Saleh Hassan Sumie, the Minister of Electricity & Energy, Republic of Yemen, in the presence of Khadija Radman, the Ambassador of Yemen in India, W.V.K. Krishna Shankar, Director (Industrial Systems & Products), BHEL and officials of the Ministry of Electricity & Energy, Republic of Yemen and BHEL.
