CWC Organized a Training Programme on Warehouse Management for Scientific Storage of Foodgrains
New Delhi: Central Warehousing Corporation, under the aegis of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has organized a specially designed training programme on 'Warehouse Management for Scientific Storage of Foodgrains' for the participants from SAARC Countries i.e. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Srilanka from 26th to 30th March, 2018 at IGMRI, Hapur.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Ravikant, IAS, Secretary (Food & PD), in which Shri J.S. Kaushal, Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation, Shri Kamal Datta, IAS, Joint Secretary (Impex & IC/SRA), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & PD & IGMRI along with other senior dignitaries were present. Secretary (Food & PD) apprised the participants that in the developing Nations, the post-harvest losses are on the very higher side and such type of training will definitely enhance the knowledge in respect of the advanced techniques to control the losses.
