New rly warehousing terminals for TS AP
Hyderabad: The Indian Railways has initiated feasibility studies to set up new warehousing terminals in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. The decision has been taken as demand forecasting has come of age in several places across the two Telugu states.
According to Central Railside Warehousing Corporation (CRWC) officials in Hyderabad, the corporation already has a facility at Sanathnagar in the city.
The CRWC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone (IKSEZ) in Nellore to form a joint venture company for development of an Integrated Railside Warehouse Complex (IRWC) and Freight Terminal (FT) at the SEZ, build 5000 MTs of general warehouse and 2000 MTs of cold storage demand, along with ancillary infrastructure during the first phase.
