Latest 3D Laser Scanner Inaugurated in Vizag Steel
Vishakhapatnam: RINL-VSP has procured the latest technological tool '3D Laser Scanner' for conducting verification of volumetric raw materials stocks like coals, coke fractions etc in Raw Material Handling Division. The Scanner is procured as a part of the improvement in the method of stock verification.
Shri V V Venugopala Rao, Director (Finance) RINL inaugurated the 3D Laser Scanner today in the presence of Shri OR Ramani, ED (Works) I/c. Shri Venugopala Rao stated that RINL is always in the forefront in adopting the latest technological innovations in the steel making process. He congratulated the Stock Verification wing for the initiative using the modern methods in assessing stocks in the plant.
The 3D Scanner would give accurate results while verifying huge volumes of raw materials and other volumetric stocks in the plant and port areas.
Shri PS Gupta, ED (Internal Audit & Stock Verification), Shri NVB Rama Sarma, DGM (Finance), senior officials of RINL were present on the occasion. Shri KV Subba Raju, AGM (IA &SV) welcomed the gathering.
