Massive cleaning activity of Manimuktah River
Neyveli: NLC India Limited organized a massive Cleaning activity at Manimuktah River Virudhachalam under its CSR initiative on 20.08.2017. Dr.Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLCIL formally flagging off the massive cleaning activity of Manimuktah River, Virudhachalam as part of Swachh Bharat initiative in the presence of Shri A. Arunmozhithevan, Member of Parliament, Cuddalore, Shri Kalaiselvan V T, MLA, Virudhachalam. Also Seen are, Functional Directors, senior Executives of NLCIL and representatives of Volunteer organizations.
NLCIL engages 16 machineries including6 hydralic Excavators,Tippers etc. to clean the river bed and uproot Julifloura trees and other vegetations. The company has allocated Rs. 10 lakhs under its CSR initiatives. As many as 2500 Volunteers from NLCIL, Volunteers organizations from Neyveli, Virudhachalm participated in this massive clean drive.
Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director, Finance, Shri V. Thangapandian ,Director, Power , Shri S.Thirunaukkarasu,ED/CP, Shri R.Mohan CGM, CSR,Edu. participated in the event.
