NCL Organises Workshop On Dragline Operations
Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited, organised a grand ‘Workshop on Dragline Operation’ at Jayant Area. Various functional parameters like operations, maintenance, availability and utilization of Dragline were brainstormed during the workshop. Also, a robust framework was developed for implementation of the suggestions arising as a result of the brainstorming session held during the workshop.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri P.K.Sinha, CMD, NCL highlighted the importance of discipline, technical acumen and scientific thinking in decision-making approach adopted by teams associated with Dragline operations in his In his inaugural address.
The guest of honour of the event, Director(Technical/Operations), NCL, Shri Gunadhar Pandey emphasised on the holistic approach of time-bound maintenance of machines for successful operations.
Director (Finance), NCL, Shri P.S.R.K.Sastry and Director (Technical/Project & Planning), NCL, Shri P.M. Prasad were also present as guest of honour. All-Area General Managers, Departmental Heads of NCL Headquarters and various teams associated with dragline operations across the mining areas of NCL were present on this occasion.
Dragline is the biggest Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) used in opencast mine. With a total of 22 draglines, ranging from 15 to 33 cubic metres in capacity, Northern Coalfields Limited has more than half of the dragline fleet of Coal India Limited.
