NCL Signed an MoU with Varanasi District Administration
Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has taken another major step forward by moving ahead of its campaign to contribute to the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and environmental protection run by the Government of India to realize the dream of Mahatma Gandhi's clean India. Under the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme, the company will cooperate with the Varanasi District Administration in Solid Waste Management in 13 urbanized village panchayats of the district.
In order to implement this program, NCL has signed an MoU with Varanasi District Administration on Saturday. On behalf of the NCL, the company's General Manager (CSR), Mr. Anshwar Pathak and the District Administration of Varanasi, District Panchayati Raj Officer Mr. Sartvat Anand, in the presence of Shri Surendra Singh, District Magistrate, Varanasi and Mr. Gaurang Rathi, Chief Development Officer, in Varanasi Vikas Bhawan. Signed Memorandum of Understanding Shri Surendra Singh thanked the NCL for contributing in cleanliness of Varanasi district.
The General Manager of NCL, Mr. Anshwar Pathak assured the senior officers of the Varanasi district administration to give every possible help in the development of the district in the future by the company.
To implement the program, Varanasi district administration will collect solid wood in 13 village panchayats in the city and bring it to a treatment plant where the work of making bio-gas and organic manure will be done. With the implementation of the program, cleanliness of these village panchayats will also help in conservation of environment.
