NHPC to speed up CSR, sustainable development activities
NEW DELHI . National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) is contempalting to speed up its corporate social responsibilities ( CSR) and sustainable development activities under 3000MW Dibang Multipurpose Project (DMP) with several welfare schemes on card.
General Manager of the power project V K Maini said this during the handing over of ultrasound machine for Anini District Hospital yesterday, official
sources said here today.
"Though NHPC spends Rs 15 lakh annually for Industrial Training Institute(ITI), Roing, not many locals are availing the benefits," Maini lamented."This was due to lack of interest for ITI courses among local people, which are now being availed by students from neighbouring states," he added.
