NTPC to set up Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra near its power plants
NEW DELHI . : NTPC plans to set up fair price pharmacies near its power plants. To begin with it would be setting up 10 such pharmacies which would later be increased.
As part of the scheme it would be setting up pharmacies for offering Quality Medicines at affordable prices for all. Two Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) are already operational in NTPC- Korba and NTPC- Koldam hospitals
Nevertheless, the project is to be implemented through sale of generic medicines and allied medical products through exclusive retail outlets under the name “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra” spread all over the country.
NTPC will endeavor to open as many as possible Jan Aushadhi Kendras in above or any other location near its operating station in anywhere in India. The Term of the arrangement shall be for three years and is applicable pan India.
