SCI Organises Vigilance Talent Show

MUMBAI. Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2016 was observed in The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. from31st October, 2016 to 4th November, 2016. Theme of observing VAW 2016 was "Public Participation in promoting Integrity and Eradicating
 
Capt. Anoop Kumar Sharma, C&MD inaugurated the week by administering the ‘Vigilance Pledge’ to his fellow Directors and SCI Employees . Keeping in view the above theme of VAW 2016, CVO, SCI and his team reached out to the public through competitions like Elocutions, Essays, Quiz, Slogan Writing and Poster Making events held in-house and in schools and colleges. Highlight of the week’s observance was a novel outreach effort to the broader public through the mass media of radio. 
 
Also, Vigilance Talent Show was organized to sensitize the employees and their family members towards Vigilance and Good Governance. In addition, interactive session with Mr. D. T. Joseph, IAS (retd.) and former Secretary (Shipping) was held on 2nd November, 2016, wherein C&MD, CVO and other Senior Officials of SCI took active participation. VAW 2016 concluded with the valedictory function on 04.11.2016, during which a skit on the Anti-corruption was performed by students of Sydenham College, Mumbai.
 
 KAWAS. Shri Dilip Kumar, Sr. Stenographer , Human Resource Department, NTPC-Kawas has been selected for the National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities(Divyangjan) 2016. The award will be conferred on the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ 3rd December, 2016 by The President of India at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.Many congratulations to him and NTPC family.
