Shri Piyush Goyal visited Sports Academy Khelgaon Ranchi
Ranchi: Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Coal, visited Sports Academy, Khelgaon, Ranchi . He interacted with the sports cadets and inspected their hostel to take stock of the facilities, hygiene, training, and diet provided to the cadets in the academy
Addressing the young cadets during his visit at sports academy at Khelgaon, Hotwar, Ranchi Hon'ble Minister Piyush motivated the budding talent to work hard and give their best to win, not one but many gold medals for the country in the 'Olympic Games- 2024'.
Shri Goyal appreciated Shri Gopal Singh, CMD, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and his team for making this sports academy a huge success in this short span of time. This sports academy is indeed a significant enterprise of CCL and Jharkhand Govt, to fulfil the dream of our Hon'ble PM and support his flagship programme 'Khelo India', he added.
Acknowledging on the transparent and scientific selection process of the academy, Shri Goyal said that while favoritism should not be accommodated at any cost to ensure that only the best talent should get selected in the academy. He also asked to scale up the infrastructure and develop it into a world class facility to include young kids from other states also.
