Abha Dwivedi-Shukla, President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal, sets record for highest number of participants in Inclusive Low-Cost Nutritious Indian Recipe Contest at Nagpur on 12th September 2025

A historic feat was accomplished at NutriWise 2025 when Abha Dwivedi, President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal, created a record in the Asia Book of Records for organizing the highest number of participants in an Inclusive Low-Cost Nutritious Indian Recipe Contest.

The event, held on 12th September, 2025, in collaboration with SVK Shikshan Sanstha and LAD College for Women, Nagpur, brought together an unprecedented number of mainstream participants and specially-abled individuals, who showcased creative, healthy, and affordable vegetarian recipes — each designed to cost less than Rs 30 per serving.

The official recognition was announced by Dr. Sunita Dhote, Adjudicator from the Asia Book of Records, who praised the initiative for its inclusive approach and strong social impact.

Speaking on the occasion, Abha Dwivedi said, “NutriWise was born with a dream — to make healthy eating accessible, affordable, and inclusive. This recognition from the Asia Book of Records is not just my honor but a tribute to the creativity and commitment of every participant. I dedicate this milestone to the community spirit that made NutriWise a grand success.”

Chief Guest, Smt. Kanchan Gadkari, appreciated the initiative saying “NutriWise is a shining example of how community-driven efforts can inspire healthier living while bringing people together. This achievement in the Asia Book of Records is a matter of pride not just for Nagpur but for the entire nation.”

Guest of Honour, Smt. Varsha Manohar, added, “It is heartening to see women’s groups, students, and specially-abled participants all sharing the same platform. NutriWise has proven that inclusion and affordability can go hand in hand with creativity and nutrition.”

Adding her appreciation, Dr. Nanda Rathi, Director, LAD College, said, “It is a matter of pride for LAD College to be a partner in this landmark achievement. Our students not only participated with enthusiasm but also learned that good health can be achieved through simple, cost-effective choices. NutriWise has been a powerful educational platform.”

The event was further enriched by the participation of nutritionists, academicians, and social leaders who highlighted the importance of nutritious yet affordable food choices for a healthier India. Vice president of Jhankar Mahila Mandal Smt. Reena Pande and Smt. Sonali Mhetre and other members of Jhankar Mahila Mandal had esteemed presence during the occasion.

With this milestone, NutriWise 2025 has not only carved a place in the Asia Book of Records but also set a new benchmark for community-driven nutrition initiatives, positioning Nagpur as a leader in innovative social programs.
