Kolkata/New Delhi, October 17, 2025: In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and success of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd, two senior women officers of the shipyard were honoured with the India PSU Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025 at a ceremony held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on 15 Oct 25.
The awards were presented by Smt Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Honourable Speaker of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. Smt Aparajita Ghosh, General Manager (Finance), received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Smt Swagata Sen Roy, Additional General Manager (Corporate Communication), was conferred with the Women Empowerment Advocate Award
A seasoned finance professional with over 33 years of experience, Smt Ghosh joined GRSE in 2014 and rose to head the Finance Department in 2021. Her strategic leadership has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial framework and guiding major projects, including the negotiation of the Rs 25,000 crore Next Generation Corvette contract.
Smt Sen Roy, who joined GRSE in 2012, has been instrumental in enhancing the shipyard’s corporate branding and external communications. Currently heading Corporate Communication, she continues to spotlight the company’s achievements and actively contributes to women’s empowerment initiatives through her role in the Women in Public Sector (WIPS) forum.
GRSE takes pride in its gender-inclusive culture, empowering women professionals to take on leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the shipyard’s continued growth and success.
