Powergrid CMD conferred with 'Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)'
Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon'ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, bestowed the honour on Mr. Tyagi during the 55th Convocation Ceremony of the institution held in Chandigarh.
Chandigarh: The Chairman and Managing Director of Powergrid Shri R. K. Tyagi has been conferred the "Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)" for his outstanding contibution to the growth of company and power sector in India.
The company said, "It is a moment of great pride and honour for the POWERGRID family as Sh. R. K. Tyagi, CMD POWERGRID has been conferred "Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)" by Punjab Engineering College (Deemed University) Chandigarh, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of Power Sector in India including contributions in the field of Electrical Engineering, Science and Technology.
