Punjab National Bank has announced key leadership changes effective August 30 2025. Hemant Verma takes charge as CVO Punjab and Sind Bank while Binay Kumar Gupta becomes CGM Zonal Manager Kolkata.

PNB Announces Key Senior Management Appointments

NEW DELHI, August 30, 2025. Punjab National Bank (PNB), a major public sector bank in India, has announced important changes to its senior management team, effective today. The appointments were disclosed in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges and comply with SEBI's listing rules.

The bank has appointed Hemant Verma as the new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Punjab & Sind Bank. He will also take on the role of CVO for CERSAI and IIFCL. Verma, who has served as Chief General Manager (CGM) and Zonal Manager for the Kolkata Zonal Office, has over 17 years of banking experience focusing on governance, vigilance, and compliance. He holds a B.E. in Computer Science and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Binay Kumar Gupta will take over Verma's previous role as the CGM and Zonal Manager for the Kolkata Zonal Office. Gupta, who was the CGM of the BA & RM Division at the bank's Head Office in New Delhi, has an extensive banking career of more than three decades. As a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), he has made significant contributions to business growth and risk management throughout his career.

These changes are part of PNB's larger effort to strengthen its governance framework, improve operational efficiency, and ensure solid compliance across its operations.
