Shri. M. Angamuthu appointed as Chairperson of Mumbai Port Authority
The government has approved the appointment of IAS officer Shri M. Angamuthu as Chairperson (JS level) of Mumbai Port Authority, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
New Delhi, 13 September 2025: The government has approved the appointment of Shri M. Angamuthu as Chairperson (JS level) of Mumbai Port Authority, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways. He has succeeded Shri Rajiv Jalota, an IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre of the 1988 batch. Shri M. Angamuthu is an IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre of the 2002 batch.
The tenure is a combined period of seven years up to 13.10.2027 or until further orders.
M. Angamuthu, an IAS officer of the 2002 batch from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was born on 28/04/1975. He holds a B.Sc., P.G., and Ph.D. from IARI New Delhi. Proficient in Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, and Tamil, he has served as Chairperson at Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
