Sanjay Singhal appointed as Next Director General at Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
Senior IPS officer Shri Sanjay Singhal (UP:1993) has been appointed as the new Director General of SSB. He will take over the charge from September 1, 2025, succeeding Amrit Mohan Prasad.
Senior IPS Officer, Shri Sanjay Singhal has been appointed as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Serving currently as Special DG at BSF, he is an IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre of 1993-batch. He holds a degree of B.E (Mechanical) and Post Graduation Diploma in Police Management.

The official gazette stated that Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Shri Sanjay Singhal, IPS (UP:1993), Special DG, BSF as Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) (Level-16 of Pay Matrix) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post on or after 01 .09.2025, for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 31.12.2028 or until further orders.
He replaced Shri Amrit Mohan Prasad, IPS officer (OD:1989) upon his superannuation on 31 .08.2025.
