Throughout his Naval career, Cmde Murali served in diverse roles, including sea appointments on frontline warships and positions in training, inspection, ship repair yards, trials units, projects, and tenures at Command and Naval Headquarters.
His expertise also extends to the design and development of software projects, techno-commercial contracts, and supply chain management. This diverse experience has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of both technical and managerial aspects, making him a well-rounded leader.
On July 19, 2024, Cmde Murali assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
