Throughout his career, Shri Narayan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical skills. He has been instrumental in planning and executing several large-scale mining projects. Notably, he led the team that planned the Gevra Expansion Open Cast Project (OCP), which has the highest annual target capacity to date.

Shri Narayan’s contributions to the mining sector have been recognized with several awards. He was named the Best General Manager by Coal India Limited for his performance in the fiscal year 2018-19. Additionally, he received an award for Best Planner for his work in planning and design.

On July 27, 2023, Shri Narayan assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL). In this capacity, he is responsible for steering the organization towards achieving its corporate objectives and performance goals. His vision for MECL includes transforming it into a tech-driven consulting organization that serves the mineral and mining industry both nationally and internationally.
