Mumbai:  LTIMindtree Ltd, the IT services arm of engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T), on Friday said it has been awarded the Insight 2.0 project by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to build an AI-powered platform aimed at modernising India’s national tax analytics system.

Valued at around ₹3,000 crore, the seven-year mandate is expected to significantly enhance the government’s data-driven decision-making by enabling real-time tax intelligence and advanced analytics for policymakers.

The project will leverage artificial intelligence, advanced digital architecture and data analytics to strengthen India’s tax administration framework. According to the company, the initiative reinforces LTIMindtree’s leadership in delivering large-scale digital transformation projects for public sector institutions.

LTIMindtree, which is listed on the NSE and BSE, is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Group and serves over 700 clients globally across industries. The company employs more than 86,000 professionals across 40+ countries.

The award marks another major government technology win for the L&T group, underscoring its growing role in India’s digital public infrastructure initiatives.
