Larsen & Toubro Bags Major Power Transmission Orders in India and Middle East
Mumbai, 25 Feb 2026: Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has secured a series of major EPC orders for power transmission infrastructure projects across India and the Middle East, reinforcing its leadership in high-tech grid solutions.
Key Highlights of Orders

India: L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) vertical will design, supply, and construct two 220 kV Gas Insulated Substations in the Durgapur–Raniganj–Asansol industrial belt of West Bengal. The projects also include associated transmission line segments with advanced conductors and multi-circuit towers, aiming to enhance grid stability and reliability for industrial and infrastructure development in the region.

Middle East: L&T has won contracts from leading utilities for the turnkey construction of five substations and over 250 km of transmission lines across three countries. The projects include high-voltage installations up to 500 kV, with one project involving a 400 kV underground cable system.
