GSL Distributes Medical Insurance Card to Serving and Retired Employees
Mumbai: Goa Shipyard Limited, consistent with its commitment towards welfare of its workforce, distributed Medical insurance cards to its employees, for availing cashless health treatment at various hospitals. The distribution of medical cards is one amongst the multifarious welfare measure, GSL now extends to its employees. Cmde B B Nagpal, CMD, GSL distributed token Medical Insurance Cards to its employees (including retired employees) for availing cashless treatment at over 5000 Hospitals across India.
Speaking on the occasion, Cmde. Nagpal highlighted the pivotal role played by a healthy worker in the overall productivity of the organization. He said 'Whilst GSL is on the cusp of executing some big ticket projects; a healthy workforce shall act as the perfect growth engine and catalyst to drive these projects to its logical conclusion. With the Medical Insurance card a worker can now be rest assured of a hassle free coverage which includes Outpatient and Hospitalization treatment expenditure in empanelled hospitals.' The function witnessed presence of a large number of Executives, Supervisors, Workmen including Retired Employees of GSL, besides attendance of senior officials and Executives from New India Assurance Company and MD India. This welfare measure taken by GSL has been widely lauded by the employees.
