District Collector Presents Award to RINL under CSR
Visakhapatnam: RINL- Visakhapatnam steel Plant has bagged the prestigious award for 'Excellence in Contribution to Society through CSR' in PSU category instituted by Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) at a grand function organized in Visakhapatnam recently.
Shri Praveen Kumar, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam, Chief Guest of the function and Shri Prabir Raychaudhury, CMD, RINL, guest of honour, gave away the prizes to the winners in different categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Praveen Kumar appreciated the efforts of Vizag Chamber of Commerce & Industry for their initiatives and particularly recognizing the positive contribution made by the business organizations in enhancing the region’s economy. He also lauded RINL-VSP for contributing to the society and also helping the needy people through their CSR initiatives.
Shri Prabir Raychaudhury, CMD, RINL expressed his joy on RINL being conferred with the prestigious award and congratulated all the award winners for their contribution to Vizag’s growth.
Shri PK Mohapatra GM (L&A) and Shri G Gandhi, DGM (CSR), RINL received the award from District Collector in the presence of Shri Raychaudhury. The Award function was graced by the heads of various industries and commercial organizations of Visakhapatnam.
VCCI has instituted excellence awards to recognize the people and companies that have demonstrated unique vision and achievement in support of Visakhapatnam region’s economy and the business community. The VCCI board has instituted various categories of awards and established criteria for measuring and defining excellence. The categories are, women empowerment, Hospitality tourism, Industry, CSR, logistics, Information Technology, Sea Food, Pharma, etc.
