Indian Navy Signs MoU with Jagruti Rehab Centre to Support PwIDDs
The Indian Navy’s Naval Welfare Cell has signed a 5-year MoU with Jagruti Rehab Centre to provide specialized care, holistic support, and treatment discounts for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (PwIDDs) from serving and retired personnel and their families.

New Delhi: The Naval Welfare Cell (NWeC), representing the Indian Navy, has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jagruti Rehab Centre Pvt. Ltd. This agreement aims to provide specialized care and ongoing support for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (PwIDDs) among serving and retired personnel and their families.

Commodore V.K. Jha, Commodore (Naval Welfare), and Dr. Amar Shinde, Director of Jagruti Rehab Centre, signed the MoU.
As part of this partnership, beneficiaries will receive:
- Expert care based on evidence, specifically designed for PwIDDs.
- A safe and supportive environment that encourages overall well-being.
- A 20% discount on In-Patient Department (IPD) treatment at over 17 Jagruti Rehab Centres across India.
This initiative shows the Indian Navy’s ongoing dedication to welfare and inclusivity, ensuring dignity and a good quality of life for community members with special needs.
