MCL signs three MoU to strengthen sanitation facilities
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) signed three Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with District Administration, Sambalpur to strengthen sanitation facilities & improve the aesthetic view of the Sambalpur Municipality Corporation area with a value of Rs.3.57 Cr under the CSR initiative of the company.

New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) signed three Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with District Administration, Sambalpur to strengthen sanitation facilities & improve the aesthetic view of the Sambalpur Municipality Corporation area with a value of Rs.3.57 Cr under CSR initiative of the company.
The MoUs were executed by Shri R.K. Panigrahi, GM(CSR) representing MCL, and Shri Pradeep Kumar Sahoo, Commissioner, SMC, representing District Administration, Sambalpur, in the presence of Shri Jugal Kumar Borah, Director(T/P&P) and Shri Ajit Kumar Behura, Director(Finance) of MCL.
The projects aim at achieving the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission of Govt. of India and making Sambalpur town ‘garbage free’.
The details of the project to be implemented by MCL through Sambalpur Municipality Corporation under CSR initiatives are given below:
1. Financial assistance for Urban Plantation
2. Financial assistance for 20 Nos. of Battery Operated Vehicles (BOV)
3. Financial assistance for Solid Waste Management
