BPCL re-appoints three Independent Directors on Board

PSU Firm, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has announced that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has reappointed Shri Pradeep Vishambar Agrawal, Shri Gopal Krishnan Agrawal and Professor Bhagwati Prasad Saraswat as Independent Directors on Bthe oard for one year till further orders.

Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India vide letter dated 28th March 2025 has communicated the re-appointment of Shri Pradeep Vishambhar Agrawal, Shri Gopal Krishan Agarwal and Prof. Bhagwati Prasad Saraswat as Independent Directors on the Board for a period of one year from date of their communication or until further orders whichever is earlier. Accordingly, they are reappointed as Directors on the Board w.e.f. 2On 8th March, 2025, the company informed the exchange filing.

Shri Pradeep Vishambhar Agrawal is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is specialized in the fields of Finance, Business and Administration.  He was earlier appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of BPCL for a period of 3 years (from 12.11.2021 to 11.11.2024).

Shri Gopal Krishan Agarwal is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and post post-graduate in Economics. He also writes extensively for newspapers, financial journals and delivers lectures in seminars and conferences.

Prof. (Dr.) Bhagwati Prasad Saraswat holds an M. Com degree with a Gold Medal and earned his Ph.D. in the Financial Evolution of Drugs & Pharmaceutical Companies in India. With over 38 years of teaching experience, he served as Dean and Head of the Faculty of Commerce at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer.
