Shri K. Narasimha Reddy Takes Charge as Executive Director of NTPC Talcher Kaniha

Shri Kariveda Narasimha Reddy has assumed charge as the Executive Director (ED) and Head of Project (HOP) of NTPC Talcher Kaniha on April 30, 2025. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Shri Reddy brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong leadership wisdom.

NTPC Talcher Kaniha - Shri Kariveda Narasimha Reddy has assumed charge as the Executive Director (ED) and Head of Project (HOP) of NTPC Talcher Kaniha on April 30, 2025. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Shri Reddy brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong leadership wisdom.

 

Born on April 2, 1966, Shri Reddy began his illustrious journey with NTPC , on September 5, 1989, as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical Maintenance Department. Since then, he has  served across several  functions,  gaining vast experience in the areas of Operation and Management , Project Management, Project Planning & Monitoring etc.

 

A native of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Reddy holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Kakatiya University, Warangal.

Shri Reddy has contributed significantly to the success of major NTPC power stations including Kahalgaon, Simhadri, Barh Rihand and Faridabad, holding  key leadership positions such as Head of Mechanical Maintenance, Head of Operation & Maintenance and ultimately Head of Project.

 

His technical expertise covers a broad spectrum of power plant operations and maintenance, especially in the areas of rotating machines, mills and feeders, and boiler maintenance. His leadership has consistently driven operational excellence and safety standards in various NTPC units.

 

Shri Reddy has also actively participated in a wide array of training and development programs, including Safety Leadership, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment, ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance), NTPC Business Excellence Model training, and many others focused on sustainability, preventive vigilance, and leadership development.

On assuming charge, Sh Reddy expressed gratitude to the NTPC leadership for their trust and support. He reiterated NTPC’s commitment in contributing to the overall development of the society and  consistently striving to achieve NTPC’s vision of powering India’s progress with clean and affordable energy.
