PESB unable to find any suitable candidate for CMD post of ECIL
The Public Enterprise Selection Board, in another similar previous move, is unable to select any suitable candidate for the post of the Chairman & Managing Director, Electronics Corporation of India Limited (Schedule A).
New Delhi, 13 September 2025: The Public Enterprise Selection Board, in another similar previous move, is unable to select any suitable candidate for the post of the Chairman & Managing Director, Electronics Corporation of India Limited (Schedule A).
Currently, Shri Anurag Kumar has been serving as Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. (ECIL) and assumed the charge on 13 January, 2023. He is scheduled to superannuate on January 31, 2026, and therefore the post vacancy was advertised in April 2025 for candidates to fill the vacancy.

The Board informed that it did not recommend any candidate for the post and advised the Administrative Ministry/Department to choose an appropriate course of further action for selection, including the Search cum Selection Committee (SCSC) or as deemed appropriate with the approval of the competent authority. This process is similar to the previous failed attempts to find suitable candidates, likewise for NTPC CMD, BSNL CMD, and many other PSU organizations.
