Shailesh Vagerwal Recommended as CMD of Bharat Dynamics Limited by PESB

New Delhi, 21 February 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Shailesh Vagerwal, Chief General Manager at Munitions India Limited (MIL), for the position of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Dynamics Limited, a key Schedule B defence PSU.

Shri Vagerwal, with decades of experience in defence production and strategic management at Munitions India Limited, has led major projects in ammunition manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence. His appointment is expected to strengthen Bharat Dynamics Limited’s production capabilities and defence preparedness.
