Handicraft Training and Production Centre organized post training assistance distributaion program.
New Delhi: Sewing Machine, fly shuttle handloom sets and weaving & embroidery accessories distributed to trainees passed out from Handicraft Training & Production Centre (HTPC) as post training assistance to encourage them for SelfEmployment.
Shri Pranjit Deka, Resident Chief Executive, OIL & Advisor (OIRDS), graced the function as Chief Guest, Shri M C Nihalani, ED (R&D) & President OIRDS, Shri D K Bhuyan, GM (PA) & Vice President (OIRDS), Shri Nripen Kumar Sarma, DGM (FE) & Secretary (OIRDS), Ms N M Dutta, Manager (CSR) & Joint Secretary (HTPC) and other senior officials of OIL were present on the occasion.
HTPC was instituted in 1984 as a Silver Jubilee Project of the company, is run by Oil India Rural Development Society (OIRDS) under direct patronage of OilIndiaLimited. Young women from OIL’s operational areas are imparted 11 months free training in weaving, embroidery, cutting & knitting and are provided with a monthly stipend.
