Independence Day celebrated in Western Coalfields Limited
Nagpur: 71th Independence day was celebrated in WCL with full of zeal. Chairman cum Managing Director of WCL & Director (P & IR) of Coal India Ltd Shri Rajiv R. Mishra unfurled the tricolor National Flag and took the guard of honour presented by WCL jawans.
While addressing on independence day Shri Rajiv R. Mishra said that Team WCL is the architect of the success story.He said that in a very short time period, effort and Team spirit of the company employee made it talk of the nation. He said that people related to energy and coal now await for new initiatives of Team WCL.
Shri. Rajiv R. Mishra also felicitated outstanding performing mines during the programme. Also the wards of WCL employees, who have done outstanding on education and technical front were felicitated by giving prizes, certificates and medals. “Prabhat Pheri” was also organized by WCL personnel.
Director Technical (Operation) Shri B.K. Mishra, Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Finance) Shri S.M. Choudhary, Director (Technical/P&P) Shri. T.N. Jha, Shri A.P. Labhane Chief Vigilance Officer, Ex MLC, Shri S.Q. Zama, steering committee and welfare board members, S/shri Ramesh Ballewar, Umashankar Singh, S.H. Baig, Ramkera Yadav, Iqbal Singh , Saurabh Dubey, Dr. Meshram, Amrendra Kumar, Sudhir Ghurde, Kameshwar Rai were prominently present on the occasion. Welcome Speech was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel) and vote of thanks was proposed by Welfare Board Member Shri. Ramkera Yadav. The programme was attended by large number of workers, officers and their families.
